ISAGENIX DETOX
So Day 1 is over and I'm still here. The first and second days are some of the hardest even though the last two days are also brutal. This is primarily because it's these days that you aren't allowed to eat much of anything. You get a total of 16oz's of a cleanse mix which is crammed pack with Vitamins particularly B12 which is great. Then throughout the day you are allowed 6 supplemental (vanilla/chocolate) pellets that provide you with additional energy. Then if you want to SPLURGE you can eat up to 6 plain walnuts and/or a few hard-boiled eggs. Needless to say yesterday I fell a sleep significantly earlier than normal because my lack of energy. However, this morning I was no more tired then normal.
We've done this particular program twice before and were generally pleased with the after effects. Tomorrow it gets easier b/c the program changes a bit giving us a low calorie meal with implementation of a shake like drink. Which I can say by day 3 the shake is awesome compared to the concentrated juice given days 1 and 2.
Overall, this program is designed to cleanse the body of all the toxins that it is subjected to through out daily life. The program feeds your body cleansing nutrients like aloe, herbal teas, vitamins, and ionic trace minerals. Then, it helps kick-start your metabolism to burn fat naturally. No stimulants are used. The idea is that you gain more energy, build muscle, reduce unhealthy cravings, and also improve mental clarity.
Now after doing this twice before I can vouch for some of these things that the product promotes. I did lose weight, which was nice, but what I like about it is that after the program you really have a good idea of food portioning, as that is one of my biggest weaknesses. Working out is difficult, as you don’t have tons of additional calories that the body isn’t already using. More than anything I think the program offers a good start to a new diet and or a new work out routine. This is something that I have been eager to get back involved with since my job transition has led me to canceling my work out routine that I was heavily devoted to prior.
So I'll keep everyone posted. Here is a direct link to the site that explains the ISAGENIX Detox program more in detail.

If anyone is interested. Rachel is an official distributor so she can hook the goods up at a discounted price. I think we paid an additional 50 bucks to be eligible to become distributors, which is worth it if you are considering repeating the program in the future. They claim that it's useful to do once every six months to a year. I know when first starting it’s a 12-day program but if you’re repeating its 9 days. Some people will do 30-day programs and supposedly some do it for life. Which I think is a bit insane.

OK - I'm inspired to re-start a workout routine now. I had blogged back in the fall that i would lose 15 pounds by the new year .. well, i am 5 lbs heavier now then when i blogged that, so - obviously, good job me!
Wow, that sounds intense. I don't know if I could do it, but kudos to you and Rachell. I have the same problem with portion control, Lisa and Adam are really good at that, so that has helped Kris and I.
Pat does an hour on the Treadmill every morning with a 15 % slope, she is looking 'great'. I have maintained my weight at 165 to 170 for the last 3 years. This was after 208 #. Over a 30 year period I lost several hundred pounds, but only temperally. I believe weight loss for myself is a lifetime project.
Everyone needs to do what works for them, it sounds like you have hit on a program that works for you. Keep up the good work.
