Australia
Just got back some photos of our trip ... we rank this trip up there as one of our best to date, maybe a close second to our first trip to New Zealand.
#2 - This is probably my favorite photo, the beaches in Tasmania were all rugged/empty with sand that varied from the white/powder-fine of this photo to rough/rocky (see #9, #23)
#3 - We barely made it out of Tas without running over something - as soon as the sun set the nocturnal animals would scamper out across the roads (quolls, possums, wombats (see #11), wallabys, pademelon, bettongs, ...)
#7, #14 - Best day of the trip - Maria Island .. isolated national park, tons of wildlife, no people
#12 - Hike reminded us of a Dr Seuss book .. we kept waiting for the 'grass balls' to stand up
#13 - Shannon working her way through a cave hole .. i was too big to attempt this entry
#15 - Tent we stayed in for 5 nights in Western Australia
#22 - yeah ... that's a shark. We saw several while snorkeling in western Australia, was alarming at first - well, it was always alarming

Great pictures, I was 60 before I realized that a Wombat was a real animal. Not quite as exotic as a Platypus but close.
WOW Loved #9 orange rocks....do you have info on the geo content?
Way cool photos!
#10 Think we took that smae train
#17 Trees and grass...are the trees dead or are they dorment?
#19 Clarity of water is amazing
#21 Tried to zoom in... Shannons tatoo is amazing
24 Is that coral with vetry small blue fish?
Quit your day job...travel photograph and write!
Impressive.....and the caves....wish I was young again ....
Beautiful pictures. Hard to believe some of the shots are from the same planet. Amazing how many ways things can be alive, huh? The platapus genome just got released and it's held onto a lot of reptile/bird genes (to lay eggs, make venom, etc.). Pretty wonderful what can work - and humbling that it's worked for so long. The photos are great, thanks for sharing them. I tend to find big vistas hard to capture, but you seem spot on.
Cool pics. I like the last picture looks like coral reef. I want that for a fish tank.
Sweet pictures. You are the master of the self portrait and capturing great landscape as well.
Awsome pictures guys. Makes me want to vacation with you too. Caves, waterfalls, snow banks, and underwater adventures. Geez you guys really should look into the next casting session for Survivor I think you guys would give them a run for there money. Even though they would probably have to take the two of you as one team so Brian didn't die. Hopefully soon I'll be able to come up and visit.
