ducks

Shannon has adopted a couple ducks that weren't good candidates for release. Before she brought them home she built them an enclosure/pond behind our garage, I was very impressed as I checked in on her progress. Likewise, Shannon was awed by the impression I left on the couch. The ducks are named Leroy (she's sitting on her eggs) and Zorro.

Wow, strong work. That whole building is home-made? Looks sharp. The pond looks like it will be nice, too. Impressive. Hopefully the bleeding has stopped by now, too.

How does a duck have calcium stocks to make that many eggs over and over?

Kris and I would like to hire Shannon to come do some remodeling in our new house, as well as landscape our yard. We are imagining something very similar to the ducks' pond. In exchange we will become adoptive parents to any animals that she would like to send to VA.

Excellent duck house and impressive carpentry skills. How was putting up the rafters and the roof? Leroy for a female name - Nice!

This is awesome AND where I hope to be sleeping when I visit.

Looks great surprised to see you with a tool in your hand ... after a few slaps from shannon you'll probably do anything

Addressing the comments ..

Jeff - Yes, the entire thing is homemade, more specifically shannon made. I can take credit for digging the hole for the pond, but that was fun - as Riley can confirm, every dude likes to dig a good hole. I had an odd feeling of accomplishment afterwards, odd and new. I asked Shannon how the ducks had enough calcium for the eggs .. she said they have good bones. I think she was mocking me but Im not sure.

Heather/Kris - be careful what you ask for (animal adoption), you may hear a large truck backing up with hundreds of random wildlife. The roof was tough .. and, another area where I helped (mostly just holding the ladder).

Craig .. count on it (where you'll sleep). Turns out the ducks prefer the outdoors and haven't even taken a step into the house yet, much to shannon disgust, so - it's still clean.

Steven .. I really was only holding the drill for a photo opportunity. Wanted it to look like I was involved .. and yes, shannon rules the roost. what about it.
