Cape Cod

Shannon made it to Boston last weekend so we headed out to Cape Cod National Seashore, staying at a hotel on the very tip of the cape in Provincetown (interesting demographics). Great town - tons of art galleries.

We ended up buying a few pieces at a small contemporary gallery. The pieces we bought were done by Alicia Rothman, both Shannon/I really liked the detail and color in her work. Part of her work (before she paints) involves a type of printmaking, very small detailed type/designs overlapping. I'm sure both Craig and Heather would have recognized the specific type of print making involved.

All of the beaches on the cape were crammed with people. Wall to wall people. We almost gave up finding a place of solitude when we just started walking along the beach hoping to 'out walk' the masses. The crazy thing was we only had to walk a mile (max) before we were alone. It's like the people just enjoyed being around each other, sharing the same 200 yard stretch of beach.
