Some photos of my team in Boston, a few from the office wearing client hats and some from a team dinner. Boston is growing on me .. which is good since it looks like I'll be here longer than expected (ungood in general)
who's the giant dork in the center of page 7 no just joking but i herd taller people move up in the company faster due to the subconscious and our thinking that it some how is perceived as confidence..
Thats great that you are enjoying and getting to like boston at least able to work and feel good about it...I find myself much like you in the feelings about work... just doesn't intrigue me
Let me see - protecting teachers' retirement savings? Not a bad cause at all.
Now, if you have any extra time/talent can you spare a few people to help get Wall Street breathing again? Some days I hear the news headlines, and I go back out to the garden to harvest more eggplant just to escape.
Glad to hear you are getting to like Boston - just in time for the winter chill. :)
These photos remind me of two general questions I've asked myself from time to time at my own office.
1. When we will there be advancements made with corporate ID badges? At NBC, they never update your photo and the badges snap all the time. Plus you get reprimanded if you don't have your badge on your person (visible). I want a thumbprint or eye recognition software installed. At our offices you can't get through areas you aren't cleared for without swiping your badge anyway.. so why not just make it a thumbprint.
2. When will there be more business-casual clothing options for men? It seems there are many options for women to wear AND they can often be viable outfits for dressy, semi-dressy and casual. Personally, I try hard to not be put into an atmosphere where jeans are not acceptable in the office - but not matter where you work there will always be situations that require more. I would like more options then the pattern of dress shirt.
S: It's a funny thing, my boss is 4 inches taller than I am, and his boss is 4 inches taller than him. you should see our CEO, i can't even see where he stops and the sky begins.
J: On the economy, the best move may just be to ignore it .. but, it's pretty scary. If worse case scenarios develop we'll all be planting a garden. I've considered shorting the dollar but that just seems too un-american. If we approve this 700B dollar safety net though we'll be printing money that should see the dollar dive, inflation skyrocket, taxes balloon .. essentially hitting the middle class in the knees and killing all hopes of the lower class. And .. that's if we approve the 700B bailout, if we don't .. Armageddon.
C: I for one think you should keep silent about how dude's dress up for work. It's the one thing I have to give absolutely no thought to and know I'll fit in just fine. Give me options and it will take me four times as long to get ready.
K: def a believer in the Steve Carrel school of thought! Regarding VA, if we win that job it will likely start in the march timeframe so will be in Boston till then. Hope it pops since it would make it easier to hang out with you guys.
Funny you noticed the choc lava cake. The waitress came to me and asked if I wanted to order any of them for the table before dinner since they took 35 minutes to make. I immediately said YES we'll take 8! ... everyone looked at me like I was nuts (we ate them all).
You are extremely happy compared to everyone else in pic 6.. i see everyone else with smiles that they would have at work and you in the back ground with a BIG GOOFY GRIN.. did you fart
s: lol, yeah - i do look a bit goofy in the photo. Shannon pointed out the same thing - wondering what i was so happy about.
truth is I'm just a happy person, never grumpy, never mean or short to people, i am essentially the center of the happiness universal .. either that or i farted

Mmmmmmm... hot chocolate lava cake (see pic. #1)
Looks like some good team building going on, did you go to the Steve Carell School of Management? If so, I would like to join your team.
Any latest news if you will be in Richmond, VA in the future?
