put down the match scarecrow

our pet birds

Enjoy .. with this video I was somehow able to upload HD quality (I don't know how). To view it in High Def after you hit play you need to hit the button in the bottom right "HQ" .. this will restart the video in higher quality.

HD is amazing.

I bow down before the mighty Brian. This post is fabulous. I hereby nominate it for a "Hedgie Award" for the best of 2009 to date. A mounted hedgeball and a walk down the red carpet may await. Remember to thank all the little people from the podium.

Are you just cranking the stereo in the house for the ambient music and then whistling back and forth to the bird(s)? Pretty cool.

I heard that iPhone has a wave-recognition program that can identify (and of course conveniently order on iTunes) a song from its spectral pattern, simply by what it "hears" blaring from a speaker. I wonder if it could I.D. your (ragtime?) song. If the bird whistles encode the signal, maybe the DOD or DARPA would like a call from you.

>If you are willing to put some brief suggestions about using YouTube and McKinneyTree, we'd like to try video posts, too. It looks like our old video camera has a digital signal that I might be able to dump and edit on the PC, and presumably upload.

J: Hey thanks! glad you enjoyed it

Truth is the music was the first default choice available on the youtube upload. there are tons of songs to choose from I just picked the first one to test the process out and decided it was a good match. I guess some musicians offer it to youtube users for free since it's kinda like free advertising if someone uses it in their homemade video.

The youtube upload process is simple. I'll provide a help desk topic to that soon. You should definitely look into getting the flip. it's sooo easy, compact, and has software with it to edit/upload to youtube.

Charlie and Doug would like to schedule a visit, soon.
