Cowtown Half Marathon - PR

cowtown.JPGRan a PR Sunday in the Sacramento CowTown Half Marathon. Really a great race, live bands every 3-4 miles, great finisher medals, will definitely be back next year.

Time: 1:27:38
Splits: 6.41, 6.40, 6.37, 6.38, 6.45, 6.42, 6.36, 6.38, 6.33, 6.43, 6.45, 6.47, 6.41

My splits are the best part, I've never been able to run such an even pace. Felt comfortable the whole way (well - i did puke at the finish, but up to that point I was comfortable)

Those are awesome times. Not sure I will ever be that fast, but I have kept up my running now for about a month. I lowered my speed to 5.0 (treadmill speed) That pace is perfect for me. I think its around 12 min mile. I run for about 40 min at the moment. Looking for a solid hour eventually.

I can't really compute your times relative to good or bad, but live bands throughout the race sounds rad. Plus feeling good is a bonus.

Wait - are you in that photo?

S: Keep up the running! .. now that you've started just try to keep at it, you'll gain endurance gradually. There is a race in Davis the weekend you're visiting for turkey day so if you're up for it we can run that one together. 5K (3 miles)

C: Thanks, can't see me in that photo. I'm lurking
