Sounds like a great trip. Carol Channing , a musical Theater star who was the lead in Hello Dolly on Broadway was to donate her diamond covered dress to the Smithsonian but just as she was taking it there it was stolen! I would love to go visit there. Your trip was filled with so many interesting adventures! I have only been there once when I was a Senior in High School.
Gerry and I leave Wed on the Diamond Princess to Hawaii. We will be 4 days at sea and Gerry will be lecturing on Bridge and running Bridge tournament play. I will be the "hostess" :) Then we sail to 5 Hawaiian ports 4 days back with a stop in Mexico and back home Oct4.
Those are some really great picts. You guys must have a pretty nice camera, it looks dark in that metro stairwell but the exposure turned out really well. Abe's hat looks pretty dusty!, I suppose if they tried to wash it it may deteriate. It's intresting to see dorthy's shoes close to Abe's hat. I suppose both had significance, just each very diffrent. You know where I work is where they filmed alot of the original Wizard Of Oz. The sidewalk that I walk everyday to lunch and back is actually the "yellow brick rode" not to mention a number of other locations used by a number of other popular films. Looks like you guys had a fun time:)
those are some great pics! its always hard to get a photo of something behind glass (or plexi) to turn out with getting a giant flash on top of the image.
if i remember correctly, abe was a big guy.. did his hat look large?
