Brownies (R) Number 1

I'm a Brownie in Troop 2662 now. Here is me modeling the bag I made in a Brownie meeting at Jackman's Fabrics (a Saint Louis company I like a lot).

Here's my bag:

Up close, with the patterned fabric I chose (I like the butterflies)

They taught us how to stitch on the inside of clothing

To help raise money for our troop, I sold cookies. Here is Grandpa Ron buying lots and lots of cookie boxes.

I would think knowing how to sew like that would come in handy more times than not. I always have pants that are too long for me and mom (grandma pat) hems them for me. I think your fashionable purse could be sold on ebay for big bucks, although you should keep it.

Awesome Bag .. love the purple color!

I wish you lived closer to Shannon/I .. we love Brownie Cookies!! Do you know what's the difference between Brownie's and Girl Scouts? Is a brownie like a Junior Girl Scout or something? In Boy Scouts I remember you started as a Cub Scout - then Weebalo - then Boy Scout - then Eagle Scout (i think anyway)

Brian,
In Girl Scouts it starts at Daisies(K-1).Then Brownies(2-3). Next Jr.(4-6). Lastly Girl Scouts (which goes on forever)!

Your inside stitch looks great! Steven's right, learning how to sew will come in handy a lot. Grace does all my mending, which saves us a lot of money.

You look like quite a sales person in the photo with Ron. That's another handy skill to master. :)
