Dance Team Competitions
I am on a dance team now, with older girls, who I like performing with a lot.
We have dance competitions that we go to, too.
Here is on of my my costumes (standing in front of my science fair project at home, in uggs, another story)

The stages and crowds are really big, at auditoriums like this one at UT Arlington.

We were excited by our results. We got a platinum award and a high gold award, and we won second prize for all of the teams in our category for the whole region. Here we are celebrating on stage after the awards ceremony.

The way they run it is great. Lots of teams, and fun activities like bouncing this HUGE beachball (round yellow circle to left of the L and star) around among all the dancers at the end of the show, to cool music. I like it.

Wow .. what an awesome costume, and the stage is HUGE! I would think that would be nerve racking to perform in front of so many people .. do you get nervous?
Congrats to you and your team for your awards, I'm sure that added to the excitement.
Unrelated - the title of your science project sounds interesting -- solar oven cooking? Please blog about that, i can't see much of your work but it looks like some cool charts/graphs. I'd like to do solar oven cooking if we could.
Brian-
I was nervous for the competition because this is my first year on the team. But at my regular studio recital it seemed easier this year because that stage now seems small, and I've danced on it before.
I've posted a blog about my science fair project. I hope you like it. Thanks for the interest.
