welcome to springfield
I don't know how many people watch The Simpsons regularly, but I'm sure anyone who has seen an episode is a fan of some degree. In preparation for the big movie now out (I haven't seen it yet, but can't wait) the promotional website is definitely worth a visit. You can explore Springfield, watch clips, play games and even make yourself into a Simpsons character - that's me on the left.
check it out:

What is REALLY genius, is the large-scale marketing that went into promoting the movie. In New York (and I think other big cities, like LA) they actually converted some 7 Elevens into Kwick-E-Marts... a common setting from Springfield, for those of you not familiar.

Oh wow. If anyone is ever in Vegas, I'd say give this real-life replica of the Simpsons' house a drive by.

Except for a larger mid-section, your version of a Simpson character looks like someone I know... oh my gosh, it's me! I want to see the flick tomorrow when Brian visits . . . he better want to go. My new stereo system is in place (from
Garage Sale proceeds ) in my bedroom making me more irresistible than ever.
I herd the buzz cola is awful
ya, i didn't actually make it to the store... but i heard the cola was pretty bad too.
An even better simpson character creator! You upload your own photo and it cranks one out... I haven't had time to try it yet, but this weekend I'm all over it. :)
