Fresh Workout Routine
So I've finally decided to start going back to the gym. I haven't been (consistently) since moving to New York and decided a new plan was in order to freshen things up. I did some research of technique's online as well as via my new subscription to Men's Health Magazine and developed a new workout routine to begin with. This first week I've been doing a little less than 'normal' weight - to ease the muscles back into it and try to prevent that "I can't lift my arms above my gut" feeling. After the soreness fades, the goal is to do each item with 'max weight able' then continue to increase
To all you fitness buffs - feel free (please do) critique the plan and suggest your own additions/subtractions as you see fit. Pun intended. :)
WEEKLY ROUTINE

*note: s=sets, r=repitions

ps - the hawkeye shorts were not a coincidence.
wow - i got tired just reading this routine. I will be very impressed if you can keep this up for a few months. I could not replicate it - partly because I have no idea what half this stuff is .. "ball leg roll", i don't want to even guess.
and the photo lol - very cool. The lack of crazy chest hair was the only give away that the body wasn't you.
Love the Hawkeye spandex.
Looks like a challenging workout. I like how you have incorporated the physioball into the workouts and are doing multi joint exercises (e.g. db lunge shoulder press). The cardio day should get the old heart rate up.
Well, like I said, I'm rolling into it at a gradual pace... but I do hope to be full routine in two weeks.
Today, I can't lift my arms above my shoulders or straighten them out entirely. Think I'll take a rest till the weekend. :)
That workout looks insane.... But heck give it a try and you'll proble be bigger than matt in a year or so
So like I told you....treadmill...elevation 15 speed 4.0 63 minutes burning 1100 calories. EVERY MORNING! STRANGE though.... still weight in at 137+/_ But will say the work out helps my attitude! Also finding it a good way to read as well.
Craig- Is it ethical to modify images on our site? I feel compelled to report that it appears you've put someone else's feet on your body and head - and I don't think those are really your socks, either. -J
So it has been a little bit, how is the workout ruteen going?
Are you still maintaining this schedule? I am still doing by 63 minutes now burning 1000 calories but not much weight change :)(
Watching Direct TV at Lisa's and saw Time Square early a.m. SNOWING! Glad you don't have to drive. One newscater said it took him 2 1/2 hours to get into the NBC Building from his home! Raining in Ca.....also seen on tv.
I am back in the world o little people and loving it!
