late night ramblings from Brooklyn

Off to Argentina!

We are sitting at the Jackson airport, waiting on our delayed flight to Houston, and just wanted to blog a big thanks to everyone again for helping to make our wedding so fantastic! Hope everyone made it home on schedule. Stay tuned for updates on wedding photos (we'll have a site that you can upload your own shots and download others you may want) and we'll give the low down on our Argentina trip soon after.

It was great to see everyone - thanks again!

*update*

Our flight ended up delayed so late that we were not going to make our connection, so we ended up staying one more night at the Old Captiol Inn. We are off again today with a good nights sleep and some time to do some needed Buenos Aires planning.

Bon voyage. Fortunately, you have great company even if it takes a while to get on the right flight.

We are so happy that we had the opportunity to share such an important day with you and the rest of our (now further expanded) family.

We traded stories of fun times from your wedding, as we drove back home. The memories you gave us will last for years. -J

I just heard that Buenos Aires is known as the Paris of Latin America. Good choice for a couple of love birds. Tomorrrow I develop my photos at work & can relive some of the best memories of Mississippi. This rare gathering of all McKinneys in one location made a wedding of monumental proportions! It just makes a pop proud. Dad

We got in about an hour ago, just in time for our free breakfast at our first spot, Home Hotel and while Grace takes a quick cat nap I'm charging the mac and searching some hot spots.

My buddy Andy Tarnoff (Milwaukee connection) wrote an opinion piece on Jackson and included a few nice comments on our wedding as well. If you get a minute check it out here on OnMilwaukee.com.

Pat and Gerry:

What a wonderful time!

The wedding was beautiful and Grace, your ideas were so creative. You made a beautiful bride (goes without saying) but also you both brought so much joy to each other...it spread out to all. Great seeing everyone together!

Glad we got to see you Mon a.m. but even more glad you are finally at your destination. Will be excited to hear about your trip.

Neat about your friends on ON MILWAUKEE

Printing photos as I write but was having trouble with the camers. Hope to get something good

Pretty Cool that the wedding made the press .. i actually saw your friend Andy at the airport, he was on the same connecting flight through Dallas. Didn't say anything to him but we both looked at each other and gave the knowing nod of a shared experience in the south (a girl named Rose.. not your wedding). I shared his reaction to the state flag ..

Craig and Grace,

We had a great time at your wedding and we are so happy for you two. It was also super seeing all of the McKinney clan and getting caught up.

Is it a coincidence that Craig (who is an employee of NBC) and Grace ended up in the same destination where Matt Lauer started his "Where In The World Is Matt Lauer" feature that happens this time every year. Strange. Sounds like some possible "inside information."

Gerry and I thought all your personal wedding toughes were very creative and special.

Great seeing everyone!

How was the trip?

Gerry sent a few 8X10 wedding photos you might elect to put into the frame from Steven. Will send a CD once I have time to.

Have wanted to call ..but thought you might be readjusting to regular life! but hope we connect soon. Love

Argentina has risen towards the top of future trips for Shannon/I .. in fact we may go there in April.

Did you take photos? Post some photos from your trip if you have some
