Free telephone calls!
If you haven't heard of it, Skype is a great company/program you can download for free and use to talk to anyone anywhere for free via your computer. The trick is you both need to have Skype accounts in order to be able to talk to each other for free, but you can also call anyone's mobile/landline phone using the service via your computer for a charge (similar to any long distance costs while using a landline.
I particularly like Skype due to the fact that my cell phone doesn't get reception in half of our apartment, being that half of it is underground. Everyone should check it and download the application at skype.com. We can then use it to call for free to each other via the web. If anyone downloads the program, post it below so we can start meeting up.

I tried something like this years ago and there was a bit of a delay/echo .. they improve on this? Does it sound essentially like you're on the phone? (no delay, no echo)
Ya it works great. I've actually used it to call mom a few times on her home line. It's very similar to being on speaker phone with someone (probably based primarily on not having a compatible headset).
ya with aim *aol instant messenger you can have mic conversations but with it you both need accounts and need to be signed in... talked with brain a few times
