Outdoor Signage Designs
I recently worked on some new work for Freckle Face, a client from Milwaukee that I have been working with since they started. In the past I have done everything from the logo/identity, print work, a sidewalk sign and some catalog work. This July they moved a few blocks to a more prominent place in the shopping district and had me develop a 'classy solution' for the new outdoor signage. It was definitely a challenge developing outdoor work from afar, but working within the neighborhood restrictions, I feel I came up with a nice solution.
I am yet to see the work in person (these are just pictures sent to me) but am making a return trip in September and hopefully will be able to swing by the shop to see them in action.

If their business keeps growing, they may need an outlet store for damaged goods with a name like "Nasty Neck" or "Pimple Pits". The graphics are endless, maybe something out of the movie series "Halloween". Have a swell day.
I liked the sidewalk sign a lot (the modified sandwhich board with the outfits inside it right?). Nice to see they are doing well enough to expand - and the freckle graphic is charming. Is the font something you made / modified? It really works. The space (columns, glass, storefront looks inviting. Nice job.
Are your mobile sidewalk signs still in existence? Those were crazy cool and had the "old school" feel to them. These new signage is excellent and "classy." Were there a lot of restrictions in the Third Ward for signage? I've come to understand a whole new appreciation for code restrictions.
Yup, she still has that sidewalk sign. I think its become fairly 'weathered' and may become more of a sidewalk sign - indoors, however.
so how did you print the sign or did you design the logo and then send it to a company you know that will cut and shape the sign.. also how did you design the sticker for the window same kinda question
The "twitpic" you now have on the right side of your blog is awesome. I check your blog now quite regularly to see updated random phone photos. It would rock if everyone had this.
No Steven, I just worked with a company in Milwaukee to have the signage created/installed.
thanks I was confused. by the way thanks for the photoshop help.
I like your candid snaps as well, Craig. Also like Brian's posting collages. I need a course but not til my computer decides to work. Gerry was taking traffic school on line and it was made challenging by crashing at regular intervals! Gotta get to Best Buy for improvements!
