Halloween 2008
This year, Halloween snuck up on us and so we needed to figure out a costume a few days before a party we went to that was having a costume party.
We came up with the idea of going as a double stuff oreo and devised a plan for an easy and comfortable costume.
We went and got matching white sweatshirts, hats and gloves (luckily it was cold out) and then Grace covered two hula hoops that I bought with dark felt. Grace also attached white velcro shoulder straps and I spray painted the oreo logo using a card board stencil I cut.
We didn't win the costume contest, but after talking with some other folks we decided we were definitely a crowd favorite.

Soooooo creative!!! I say you were robbed.
The winning costume was the Karate Kid Shower and while I didn't find it to be all that creative... the guy supposedly built it himself, which is impressive.
What did the Karate Kid Shower look like? Was this a company contest or some street activity? Sounds like there is "more to this story" that would be interesting.

Not much more to a the story, just a Halloween party we went to.
Ok see it.....Shower is neat but he doesn't qualify for Karate Kid
You should have won!
wait - did the winning costume have like a karate belt or something? was it like a dude in white robe with a black belt holding an umbrella? more info please
and - this Halloween party, more please. was it kids mostly just goofing around or was this a serious contest? please breakdown the prize structure and rules
saweeeeeeet pics!! I went as myself this year (and won the block wide contest)
craig could you break everything down for us please lol
what happened after the party?
Love the costume! I think that is a great idea! Like the pics. I can't wait to see you at Christmas.
Love,
Claire
What did you do the next day?
The following week, after the party how was it. Seems like there is "more to the story".
