Wallpapering with Charlie & Doug

We decided to dress up our apartment's white walls a bit and wallpaper the two story wall where our stairs are. The stairs are fairly steep so we bought some 2x4's at the hardware store around the corner and constructed a scaffolding in order to reach the top of the wall. We forgot to snap any before pictures of the blank wall (and I'm kicking myself for it) but it is the brown paper with the green vine design on it.

For our first wallpaper job, it turned out pretty awesome. Doug and Charlie are big fans too, but they are missing scaffolding walkway a little.

Extremely dramatic wall and impressive job

Are both cats the same size???? both wonder food?

Fantastic wallpaper job.....no fear of hights?

Have a great holiday

It looks like Doug/Charlie get along .. true? How old is Charlie now? I remember that cat leaping out from under cover to snip (bite hard) at my ankles.

I like photo10 - Charlie(?) looks like he's daring you to take away his scaffold.

and .. remind me about the painting on the wall? I think you said it was painted by a friend? .. i like it.

Yes, the cats have become good buddies now. Doug just turned 1, Charlie is 12 years old and he has definitely grown out of his cat leaping days and has become very much a lap dog-cat. Doug is getting bigger but he hasn't quite filled out to Chuck-size yet. However, with Doug joining the family Charlie has lost 6 pounds.

The big painting (right side of photo12) is a self portait, done by a friend that Grace went to school with.

Looks very nice.

I suspect it's wallpaper, and not art store paper, but we used to go to a paper shop in SoHo that was spectacular. I kept having to remind myself not to leave greasy touchmarks on the papers there.

This print reminds me of some of the paper I particularly liked there.

Charlie's had a good 12 years, eh? Here's to many more. If Doug comes to our house could I get the fitness improvements Charlie* has accrued?
