bikeCam - ride #1

I bought a small camera made for a pet's collar and attached it onto my bicycle for a ride through my neighborhood. You can set it to snap a picture every 1, 5, or 15 mins and it can hold up to 45-50 photos, so I set it to go off every minute and rode for about an hour. Here are some of the better pics from the set.

I'm impressed how often you ride a wheely on your bike!!! Your camera has many shots pointing upward - Nice Skills!

Im guessing the wheelys weren't on purpose, and instead it was a case of biking on bushmills.

Isn't it freezing in NY? Im impressed you went outside at all.

Pretty cool idea (camera) - I'm guessing putting it on Charlie would result in the same image over/over/over .. that dude takes awesome sun naps

There is a guy in the 4th floor of pic 9 who can NOT sleep without 3-4 million New Yorkers driving by playing Bon Jovi 12 inches from his bed's headboard. You know it's true: if you took this guy camping in the wilderness he'd brain himself with his cell phone by the second night because it was just too damn quiet.

Cool shots - I miss NY (you gotta problem wid dat?).

Just saw the pet colar camera on a news show...interesting the use you turned it into. How's riding a bike in NY.......sounds thrilling or dangerous or both!

Jeff..you've got the accent down...think we had more NYers playing bridge on the ship than any other group. I think the accent sounds harsh but they were all really nice people and very appreciative!

Mom-

For sure. In my experience, once a NY'er likes you, I think they stick with you forever. Solid folks, indeed.

That said, early on in Holly's NY days she appealed to someone there, in desperation, "I really want to try to do what you are asking, but I don't understand what you are saying to me! Can you please speak a little more slowly?"

Jeff
What a cute story about Holly. I agree...but not just NYers....the south can produce some confusions to my midwest ears.

On the cruise this time there was a lady bridge player from Argentina (SP?) who played witha NYer and thank goodness for the bidding boxes as their communication otherwise would have gone a muck....but both neat people and nice to see strangers communicate and enjoy what it takes to play semi serious bridge without conflict even with serious accent differences.

Hope things are good with you all. Did Claire like my grandmother's necklace? Thought she might be old enough to appreciate it.

Mom-

The Spanish teacher in our school says Argentinians speak with the nicest Spanish accents on the planet...

Things continue to go well here, thanks. We got snow today (and school cancelled, and me working a night shift so I could play during the day - what a deal!), and we all went to Holly's old elementary school to go sledding on this great hill.

Claire liked the heart locket, thanks. Holly's mom has a heart ear ring set that matches it and Claire was keen to wear them together. That'd be cool, and I think Claire will take good care of both. I was telling Claire about your grandmother and how I'd visit her when I was a kid. Also did some internet digging with Riley into your grandfather Clancy's farm town in Michigan, related to arrowheads I took to Riley's class connected with our trip to Cahokia Mounds.
