Mohs Surgery: Postop
I went in for Mohs surgery last Wednesday and left 5 hours later with 10 stitches and cancer free.
While the actual surgery time is very quick, the process of testing the skin removed after each incision lasts 45-60 mins. They cut around the cancer spot and then test the sample. If the sample tests positive for cancer, they take another cut larger in diameter. Then they continue this cut-test process in rounds until the test comes back cancer free.
I go back in two weeks to have the stitches removed. It's sure to make a great addition to the body art of scars on my trunk.

I am really happy it turned out good. You are used to a little scare here and there, so I'm sure that doesn't bother you. I am not good with photos like that makes me wanna pass out.
How about a small chest "hairpiece" to cover scars? That's what I did with my scalp after my scars. Anyway, good news on an icky subject. All the positive thought waves from the family did not hurt either.
Does this mean there will be no more blogs of you without a shirt on? damn.
Good pick up - it would have been easy (but bad) to ignore things. My understanding is that Mohs makes a huge positive difference, and is worth the up front hassles. Glad you're healing well. You are aquiring an "I had a fight with a dragon" skin topography, but - on you - it works.
