Smarter than a preschooler?
When adults ere asked to tell which way (right or left) the school bus was going, they guessed. Preschoolers chose correctly. Why? 
They know you are viewing the bus from the side without doors, so of course it is traveling left.

In Saint Louis there was this little girl who would come with her older sibling to our bus stop, with a backpack about 75% her total weight, stand in line, work her way to the bus door, be told she could not board, and then slowly but systematically decompensate emotionally on the street corner as her mother tried to console her.
I bet she'd get this right in a flash.
