She's Alive ... She's Alive ...

Ok, Heather is into this, she is just a little technically challenged.

Soooo, Life is great. Love the new job, instead of children setting each other on fire and swearing at me, the students say... Yes, mam.. and no mam.

Downside, everyone is super religious and the county school system is breaking the "separation of church and state" law almost every day. The children love jesus who I thought was Hey-zuz (Milwaukee hispanic culture). The sex ed program says abstinence is the only way to be healthy, pure, respectable, but whatever.

Love being close to Lisa and the kids, Kris and Adam have become "blood brother" :) and they both think they are farmers on the weekends.

I have hiked almost every weekend for the last month. I am getting great pics! This saturday I am going to the Virgina Highlands and hiking an 11 mile section of the Appalachian Trail (AT) where there are ferrell ponies ( wild ponies) on the trail. I can't wait.

Kris is going to the UT game with Adam this weekend, but Sunday he has promised to show me how to post pics, so more coming later.

I want to thank everyone for giving me a hard time, the is actually the best way to get me to do something.

Adam McKinney:

Heather great to see you diving in. You'll probably have much more luck than I, when posting pics even though Brian will tell you it's not hard. Your new job sounds like a nice change. It's got to be nice moving to a new environment and have the family support structure already in place. Sounds like Chris loves the new place as well.

I think Rachel is at the other end of the education spectrum. She's working full time as a 1st grade teacher for a Charter school in Inglewood (always up to no good). So she's getting used to the attitudes, administration, talk backing and fires. They should do an exchange program from your school in V.A. with her school here in Cali. That would really shake things up a bit.

Nice to hear about all of your hikes. All of the pictures we've seen of your area look gorgeous; it looks like a campers dream. Great to hear from you. Now the next step is putting the fire underneath Adam and Lisa.

Nice to see you on the tree! Will lookforward to you doing photos. Really enjoyed the evening we spent looking at all your photos. I took a lot in Hawaii but none spectacular. Once I catch up will attempt to put some here. Highlight was how many people were so nice and receptive to Gerry's lectures and games and most favorite activity was a helicopter ride over the last island. Beautiful waterfalls, coast line, rain fog ...just overall great experience. Our room was in "crew quaryters" this time....really rather big, outside but on 4th floor and beyond doors that passengers can go to so we were always being questioned as if we were lost. Did get to eat in regular dinning room and got a crew discount on photos and were even comped on a couple of tours! Glad things are so good for you both there!

ferrell ponies? that is fantastic. are they mini ponies so you could catch one? maybe if they get to be a burden they will take milwaukee's approach. (ps, non wisconisinites - it's legal to 'hunt' ferrell cats in milwaukee.. in the city!)

Hey, great to hear from you, Heather. But don't cut Kris off now that you have the keyboard. From the years behind the latest trend section of the family I want to point people to the extremepumpkins site. Might be fun to have a McK Tree pumpkin contest this year?

Some workplace sarcasm is always nice, too:

If you catch a pony, maybe you can pass it off as another big dog (but you're not living with city slickers any more, so that may take some work there).

Sounds like life in Dollywood land is pretty sweet. Good for you. I am trying to E-mail you, but keep getting a "cannot deliver" message. Here is the address I have. Has it changed? khhartz@earthlink.com Thank you so very much. Go Hawks

*psst - hey dadio, there's a great page on this fantastic website i know that has everyone's e-mail listed! even better? they are pretty easy to remember now that everyone has an email address from mckinneytree.info...

Click here for the contact page
