"You tell them I'm coming, and I'm bringing Hell with me!"

So being banned has brought the fight out of this red head. I am back with a vengence!!! Can you name the movie where my quote has come from?

So here is an update on our lives. I did end up seeing wild ponies on my hike back in October, and I have been on some other really great hikes. I have seen wild bears, snakes, butterflies, and a meth lab. No really, I did. Kris and I will post more on that later.

We have sold our house, we both have new vehicles to handle the Appalachian country. I made an impolse by on a jeep, and I really like it. The students at school now think I am cool. Matt- do you want to go off-roading?? Or is your jeep just for looks???

Here are a few pics to tell the rest of the story.

Welcome back. Wow, what great photos and stories. Shouldn't one be running away when there are bears close enough to see? And, is there a "don't shoot" whistle or something to signal that you don't want to catch lead aimed for that deer? What beautiful country - looks like a dream. Have a happy new year.

Dear Heather and Kris-
I really like your Jeep. Maybe we can use it to steal some rocks from a museum (see Kris's note on my blog). Maybe Matt's Jeep could help, too - but why doesn't his Jeep have any speck of mud on it? -Claire

Was hoping you would see red after being banned and post .. awesome comeback post!

What great pics - both Shannon/I are envious of your wildlife encounters. Although the deer looks mounted - is it alive? It looks like you are really close (zoom lens?).

Look forward (i think) to hearing about the meth lab. sounds like an adventure. Meth use/labs are pretty scary - more so than pot I think.

Kepp posting!! oh yeah .. your quote - Tombstone, great movie!

ferrel ponies rock, as does your jeep. oh and i think you may have been mistaken and posted a picture of charlie's long lost brothers instead of bears.

Adam McKinney:

Love the pictures. Great to hear everything is going well for you guys. Now with the new rides you guys can really get around. I can't imagine how you guys must of traveled around those rugged areas with your previous cars.

Hey, thanks for all the comments. Jeff, the bear sighting was kinda funny, the mother bear looked at me, I looked at her, I started talking to her about how great she was and that I really liked her babies, She just ignored me, decided I was too dumb to eat and walked away. The deer I was very close to. I was hiking in a no hunting zone and this buck must have known it.
