School is out so Kris and I have been hiking more. I leave tomorrow for South Carolina. Traveling around the state for 10 days. Hopefully seeing great waterfalls, trees, etc.
Cool shots - what is the 4th photo of? Looks like cheesy cauliflower (gross). The photo of you guys together came out well, always a favorite photo technique of mine.
How many burial plots were in the cemetery? How old were the plots?
As always great shots
mcKinney cemetary might have some interesting possible family tree connections
loved the hike we took
Be safe and have a wonderful time on your trip
The photo of the "cheese", was actually a small fungus growing not far from a tree. I have never seen anything like it and I thought the close up might lend to some good abstract paintings. This is the second Mckinney cemetery I have found in the area. There is one not far from where I live in TN, this one in the photo was in the backwoods of NC. The cemetery was very old, some plots unmarked. There was on from the early 1800's of a little girl. She was 3 years, 7 months and 16 days old when she died. The interesting part was on her tombstone it said. . "Her Dine Wirds: I am going home." I guess the lack of spelling skills goes a long ways back in our genes.
