Best of 2007 Photo Contest
Anyone interested in a family-wide end-of-year photo contest?
I've been saving some of our StL 2007 digital photos to disk,and have some B&W portrait shots (sorry for my limited subject range - that's my gig for the next few years) that I'll post once I get HTML slide show code from Brian. I propose anyone interested submit <20 photos, and the rest of us each vote for our 3 favorite from each submitter. Then we can pool those audience selections for a mega contest.
Disclaimer - my "best shots" are very subjective, and some may even have been taken by passers-by. But, they make good things happen in my brain after they hit my retina, and that seems good enough. -J

Best Photos of 07 eh? Not a bad idea. For folks that are interested just make a blog entry titled "2007 Photos" .. then everyone can comment on the each blog to pick the top 3 for each entry. Then I'll create a blog entry that will have the top 3 from everyone who participated - then we can pick from those.
I sent out a group email with the HTML code required for the slide show. Only use this if you want - you can post as many photos as you want in one blog without using that format.
let the games begin. the top photos will move into the header photo rotation - and, for a few days the winning photo will be shown at mckinneytree for a few seconds before being routed to the tree. (pending craig's approval since he'll have to code it)
Contest will be open till the end of January so people have plenty of time to participate.
Sounds good. We'll see if I can even find 20 that were taken this last year. I know Mom you should have no problem finding this amount.
It's got to be in our genes . . . McKinneys are VERY competitive. Get ready for my Fantastic Foto Folio with Captivating Captions on every one. Your brain will be in pain as you try and select only 3 from my group of incredible "slice of life" entries. When I win, I hope the trophy is at least as big as an Oscar.

I think this is a great idea....not sure I can be ready by Jan end. Still struggling with Vista but if possible will do Will you have catagories...ie flowers, animals, people journalistic?????
Some of Jeff's "best shots" are actually my shots for which he has taken credit. I can probably at least eliminate him from the ones that he is in, but no guarantees.
