Buddha Bowls
It's a little thing, perhaps, but lately we've been enjoying our Buddha Bowls. They are ceramic bowls that are designed to fit into the palm of your hand. We used them during a Thai meal we fixed recently, including Fresh Rolls that Claire makes. Taking the left overs to school creates a conversation starter ("What are those?!").

Here are some shots.
Claire, using chopsticks (chopsticks from Mom, thanks):
Riley, taking another approach:
Here's the meal, in progress - We'll post the recipe to Matt if he's interested (and he blogs).
Strange, Zen-like effects upon the users of the Buddha Bowls:

The food looks amazing. I like trying exotic foods myself. The bowl makes it ten times better.
Cool shots, personally I'm a fan of Riley's technique. Post the recipe .. I'm curious. It looks hard (and delicious)
since trees can't speak for themselves ... your tree in the last photo IS THIRSTY.
HA, Brian!
I personally enjoy the strange, zen-like effects that surfaced.
Great photos...very Zen like. I could hold the bowl and they look neat....but I am a failure at chop sticks....and that Zen stance looks a little challenging as well! Also lookes like balancing both mind and body!
Jeff, I saw a great A&E or History channel on Gaundi last evening. Amazing life lived with exceptional contrasts. Some of his ashes are buired down on Sunset in the Fellowship guardens and we also visited a memorial garden in India where some are.
It is a very peaceful place open to anyone with small man-made lake swans, oriental gardens and paths where some monks(?) reside and practice peaceful worship modled after Gaundi's teachings.
