My Next Challenge...
I've just spent $150 to enter a race in October, so I'm pretty committed to showing up and doing it. That said, it'll be the toughest challenge to-date for me --- it is a 24 hour run, around a 1 mile loop @ Krissy Field in San Francisco. Check out the website: http://www.pctrailruns.com/SF_One_Day.htm
Not sure if I'll complete it, and if I do how many miles I can accomplish.. I do have a couple goals, but I'll keep them to myself till I think they're more realistic :).

I'll clear my weekend to be part of your race support crew - someone will need to be on point to scrape you off the pavement and kick you into gear when the sun sets.
Oh - and I hereby challenge you to a fight right after your race. Maybe the fact that you ran for 24 hours straight will provide me with another opportunity to crush you (i think the last time this happened you were 10 and i was 15 .. ah .. the good old days).
Wow, this looks like a beautiful course, but 24 hours of running seems hard to even comprehend. Good luck.
I've spoken to a couple of these ultramarathoners - one is very experienced (has done 3 ironman triathlons) - and one tip they mentioned was to work on your eating plan during the race and doing some training where you are working food into the equation to see how your body responds. Good luck.
