Breaking in the Rubi
A month ago I took a road trip to break-in my Rubicon --- prior to this, the jeep had only plowed over freeway pot holes. Here I am @ 10K feel elevation in Leadville, CO. I went with some experienced off-roading junkies, and was able to climb some terrain I didn't think was possible.
All in all, it was a great 'roughing it' trip... both the jeep and I got through it with only minor scrapes and dings.... but afterwards I put the doors back on and headed for something more in my element - the drive from Colorado to LA conveniently passed through VEGAS.

I forget how huge that thing is, with four doors.. I'll bet that adjusted the center of gravity a bit. Sounds fun!
Very cool. Do you know where you were on a map or with gps coordinates? The topo map around Leadville looks like some great terrain. Gotta love a name like the nearby(?) "Mount Massive".
