OK, I liked the "eraser" image way better than the "loser" one. I guess the Eraser image was up a few months though, so it needed updating. Since I'm back for the meantime, maybe we can put up a normal picture again?? I say "we", but I mean Brian of course. Just got back from vaca in Thailand.. good times. But I'm back at work now, trying to get into the swing of things. Got a 50K race coming up in Malibu, and Shannon is planning to do teh 25K actually too. So I'd better submit SOMETHING, if only to "unban" myself. Nothing too new really. I ran a PR marathon in OC... 3:23. not bad, but a big 13 minutes slower than what's needed to qualify boston. Good news is I felt good throughout, so I forsee Boston in my future.

---- Other news - I'll be going to Thailand in Mid May for 3 months. I'm losing the business attire, and will be volunteer teaching in Koh Samui. I'll give more details as I know them, but should be a good time.

So lets ignore that Michigan State is no good.... AND that our quarterback's talent is questionable... AND that nobody knows how to catch a ball. We STILL pulled out an AWESOME comeback this last weekend! What concerned me was the talk about Kirk's contract.... I cannot BELIEVE it would even be CONSIDERED to cut him! He is THE reason that the hawks have turned around since the FRY "I own an AARP card but I should still coach" days (no offense to Paterno). Surely it's just talk. I was so overjoyed to see us win that I went out that night and bought a HAWKEYE BLACK & YELLOW JEEP. Well, I wasn't THAT influenced by the game; but I did see a Jeep on the dealers lot Saturday while driving by, and decided only a hawkeye should be driving it. I'll post some pics this weekend -- but, it's the 4-door unlimited wrangler... but it's been jacked up and rigged w/ 35in wheels. SA-WEET! I already have a hawk plate on the front, just in case there wasn't enough yellow.

I want to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone that sent me emails throughout my run this weekend!!! It was much appriciated and needed! Your thoughts kept me going through the night, and I'm not sure I could have done it without them. As you can see online, I finished 4th with a little under 108 miles covered over the 24 hours. Although I did have some troubles by hour 20 (I decided to take a cat nap), overall I feel good about the outcome. More importantly, I don't have any major injuries considering the toll taken on my body. My right leg/foot is swollen and sore, due to the fact that the direction of our 1 mile loop was never changed --- I assume running clockwise over and over impacted my right leg as a result. But, nothing is broken or seriously injured. That said, my two big toe nails are BLACK. Not sure if they are going to fall off, or if I should go to a doctor to see if they SHOULD be taken off (any ideas from the medical team?). I tried to swim yesterday, but each toe nail was giving me too much pain to continue. Today I'll use some medical tape and see how that goes. :) Thanks again everyone!!!

Off to Chicago tomorrow for the Iowa Game @ Soldier Field... AWESOMENESS. A slew of college friends pitched in for a sky box, should be fun! And, since we are playing NO NAME UNIVERSITY, should also be a "w" for the season opener. If you see a streaker at half-time, you'll know who it is.

Barely considered "traveling"... as it's a 4 hour drive (the way I drive)... But, I'll be heading over to SIN CITY tomorrow.... meeting up with college buddies Thursday till Monday.... OUCH. Hope to come home with a fatter wallet, but expect mostly a painful hangover. We have pre-paid VIP at a new annual Playboy party at the palms..... Hefner holds a midsummer night's dream party each year at the mansion, and decided to do another each year at his casino... Steven, let me know if your furniture gig doesn't pan out, and I'll hook you up working w/ Hef! :)

I HIGHLY suggest everybody (except the kiddies) go out and purchase the DVD "300" today. A great 'pick-you-up'er. I hope Shannon and Karlie won't mind that it'll be playing on a loop at our house for the next 5 days.

I've just spent $150 to enter a race in October, so I'm pretty committed to showing up and doing it. That said, it'll be the toughest challenge to-date for me --- it is a 24 hour run, around a 1 mile loop @ Krissy Field in San Francisco. Check out the website: http://www.pctrailruns.com/SF_One_Day.htm Not sure if I'll complete it, and if I do how many miles I can accomplish.. I do have a couple goals, but I'll keep them to myself till I think they're more realistic :).
