Visit to Lisa's

Recently I was in Va/Tn visiting Lisa and Heather. The following are comments on the photos by number.

1. The sheep are in the process of lambing and the "herd" is growing!
2. I slept in what I called their STAR WAGON as it much resembles those used on movie shoots.
3. The outside has rock 1/2 way up but the siding which will look like slabs of bark is not yet up.
4. Lisa's new house is completely enclosed: windows in and all rooms framed in and the fireplace is going to be really dramatic. Notice the slap accross the top of the opening. It has some fossils!
5. One day it snowed. Ok, this is pretty impressive for someone from Ca. It was beautiful, cold enough (21 degrees) but very little accumulation and rather powdery so not good for snowballs.

Good to see you last week on your visit. Cool picture on #5.

Great pics. Wow, snow is hard to get on film - this looks really pretty. We're reading a book about a guy who first figured out how to take magnified pictures of snowflakes: W.A.Bently. Here's a link:

Thanks for the update. VA/TN looks nice.

Was a nice visit. Glad we had time together. Thank Kris again for his fantastic Meals! Loved looking at your phptos and adventures as well as the other special things you showed me.

Great shots mom .. I particularly like the shot of what looks like an awesome fireplace. But better than the fireplace is the fact that you got Lisa to point/touch the fireplace for the photo. Great use of props!

Jeff What a FANTASTIC site!!!!!
I was really impressed. I am afraid I am still in wonder how everyone finds such interesting places on the web and wish I could. Even when I look for something simple, like the speciality of a Dr, it turns into a blind alley:(

Remember making paper snowflakes. Never as beautiful or simply complex as real nature. Thanks for sharing this.

I was surprized by this shot. Digital but I did use slow sync, which I have not experimented with previously.

Also nice to read your comments Thanks!
