turning, turning, turning ...

Packed my bags and ready to go...

On Monday we leave on a Bridge Cruise to the Baltic on the Royal Caribbean's ship, Jewel of the Sea. We have not traveled on this ship before. The ship leaves from Harwick, England located 98 miles from Heathrow Airport where our Air France flight lands. I am sure we will figure that connection but traveling as employees demands a free spirit and some loose ends:) But cannot knock this inexpensive way to travel! ( I am trying to create enough Art projects to get approved as Art Instructor.....as when being Bridge Lecturers companion I am truly only a "Vanna".) Seems like London Taxis can not leave London and private cars with drivers are hugely expensive and Avis can be picked up in London but not left in Harwick and then the car drop off is 50 miles away and without other connection to the dock!.

Glad we are going in a day early. So picture us hitch hiking .....NOT!!

Guess this is why I am not sleeping at 3:30 a.m. But excited...the itinerary is similar to the one we took on our Honeymoon and July 1 marks eight years.

Sounds like a great trip. Have a wonderful time. Must be neat to be crew members. I don't know current details, but there used to be very good bus services (tolerant of lots of bags) for travelors to/from Heathrow and Gatwick airports. Here's are Heathrow logistics web sites that might give you some leads (although I don't see a primary entry for Harwick). Paddington Station might be a viable intermediate stop?

Bon voyage! -J

Looking forward to hearing all about it -- maybe you guys will be up for a trip to NY/Boston in the fall? Could swing through to see Craig, Grace, and I.

Be Safe and have fun!!

sounds like fun, enjoy! sorry didn't get a chance to connect before you left - we'll talk soon after you get back and rested.
