A fun travel close to home to see California's State Flower...right, the poppy. Then a little further down the road was a small reserve of Joshua trees. It's the neat things in our own backyard that we often miss! This was found in the Lancaster area. The poppies truly made the hills come alive with the view of orange. The poppies are pretty smart as when the winds are high across this dessert environment, they close up. Still beautiful!
