Blue Angels

We were driving around and heard some fighter planes. It was the airshow Blue Angels. We drove around looking for them in the sky, and then stopped to take some pictures.

Here they are in tight formation.

That is cool. It's amazing how close they can get. I wonder if the pilots get nervous before a show. There so experienced you have to wonder if it's second nature to them. I would think each pilot would have to know each other's style so that they can fly together as one with out any unexpected mishaps.

When I first saw one of those type of planes I remember being suprised by the intensity of the noise that each one makes. Riley, In California there are a number of governmental areas where they build, and test rocket propelled engines like the ones used on the space shuttle. When they are testing you can hear them from hundreds of miles away. I believe recently the space shuttle had to make an unexpected landing in California, when it did you could hear it as it broke through earth's atmosphere and made it's decent to land. I think Matt's area near Valencia get's alot of noise runoff from testing like this.

That's cool that you could hear the space shuttle as it broke through earth's atmosphere, Uncle Adam. I like your stories. Thank you. -R

Your photos are so cool. We used to see the Blue Angles when your Dad was little in Detroit. Very talented. When I first moved to CA I lived right behing Rockadine where their experiments roacked our little house. You could not drive near the experiments as the entire area was enclosed by a huge electric fense and guards.
