Star Wars Battle and Camping
This blog I'll show you some DC pics and some new camping pics.
Here - especially for Matt and Craig is the ORIGINAL R2D2 from Star Wars.
Here is a real cruise missle (Claire's photo, thanks).
Here is my Tree art project:
Finally, me out camping in my new hat that I like a lot.
Thanks for your blogs and your comments. I like them all.

The real R2D2? That's awesome! Was C3PO somewhere around him?
Grace and I are heading down to D.C. in a few weeks, maybe I can persuade her to make a stop and check out the droid.
PS, I really dig your hat! I had a tan one just like it until I was in about 8th grade. I may have to go out an pick myself up a new one, looking hip. :)
I will second Craig's comments on the "awesome" that you got to see the real R2D2.
With your cool hat on, I think you should talk to your mom and dad about camping in Ireland so you that you can meet many others with similar hats. That has got to count for something towards the Boy Scouts camping badge.
Great pictures Riley. They're all so interesting and different. I really like your tree art project. When I look at the middle where all the trees connect I see a butterfly like image. Those kaleidoscope images are cool the way they can play with the eye.
That's funny Craig said something about his old hat. Before I read the comments on your post I was going to say something about his old one similar to yours. I think it was a tan or dark brown color but I remember him wearing that hat all the time. No joking, I believe mom used to have to tell him that he was going to go bald if he continued wearing it so much. He'll probably want to get a new one now that your picture has brought up old memories. ;)
Camping was probably nice. That's something that I know I don't do as much as I would like. There nothing like escaping the day-to-day hustle reacquainting oneself with natures wonders.
Ahhh R2D2 brings back some fine memories. Would you believe that I had almost EVERY Star Wars action figure?? Unfortunately I sold them all when I was in 8th grade... BAD DECISION! Today they are worth almost 5 times the original cost. I think had I held onto them I could buy a HOUSE with the investment! Although, to be honest, if I still had them I'd likely keep them to play with on the weekends! :)
