Lightning in a bottle
This lightning is so cool, it is a purple color. Claire and I played with this plasma lamp in the science center. I like the way you can see the individual arcs of light here.
Oh, oh....Claire is starting to vanish here....

Really cool! I seem to remember someone in our family had a smaller version of the Plasma Lamps featured on your first wikipedia link.
The vanishing thing is very creepy - it looks like both Riley and Claire start to dissolve when touching the lamp. If this can be repeated this is way cool and deserves a separate blog. Being able to walk through walls, sneak into candy stores undetected .. so many applications!!
Was you dad or mom touching an electrical outlet when they took these cool pics?
Does the Science Center still have the large globe that made all our hair stand up? You guys have great activities in St Louis!
