Notes from Smiley Riley

A boy and his Sharpie

I had the opportunity to decorate my new room recently. We painted it blue but I thought I needed a little more art. When dad saw it he said, "Did your mom think this was a good idea?"

"Mom loves it, and so do I, so you have to also", I told Dad.

Here are some pictures of my work:

This guy's dad said the same thing, I bet:

Your dad says that I have no respect for walls. I disagree. I have a great deal of respect for walls and think of them as a canvas for one or more of my offspring.

One word describes this .. AWESOME

Wish you were closer to our home, we have some white walls that could use a splash of creativity!

Trying to get code words to work

Count me in one a plus for creative and personal expression of room decoration. I have just about finished aq Disney theme painting on the wall in Lisa's girls playroom. I will try to get a photo so I can get your comments.

When your Dad was a baby and preschooler we lived in Clawson, Mi. He may not remember, but the "theme " for his room was Toy solders and their "guard Houses'. His crib, walls and toy chest plus book shelf were all hand painted by me..so that was not only walls but furniture.

This is great! The best thing about walls is that they are really easy to paint over and start again when you are looking or a new look. It can make a room feel brand new.
