Chain Mail Creatures

I got some chain mail lego pieces for a Star Wars kit.
I've been playing with it and like how chain mail can bend about.
It lets me make shape shifting creatures.

Here is a creature I made.
It is designed to easily bend into several other shapes.

This is Lizard form

LEGO keeps reinventing itself. They must have some pretty talented planners. These are amazing! And your skill building level is also amazing!

Someplace I have seen a LEGO contest displaded m aybe in NY City. Maybe some time you could enter.

Is it that the connectors allow for the ability to bend and rotate?

It is hard to explain how the chain mail bends. Each small piece has hooks and rods, and the hooks connect to the rods in a way that allows bending.

By the way the labels above are off. The horned thing and praying mantis are reversed. If I roll the lizard up tightly it becomes a tumbleweed creature.

My favorite Lego inventions include the dagger of time that is plastic but made to appear like two different types of metal. I also like some Lego pieces that are black with metalic spots.

Soo Cool!!

Love the Lizard

Wow - I've never seen this branch of legos. Very cool!

A giant lego store recently opened next to my office in NYC, but it's been pretty jammed with tourists for me to get in yet. Hoping to make it in this Fall... I hear they have a very detailed lego replica of 30 Rockefeller Center.
