I didn't know they fix engines with hammers

I need a good backrub after my bill for a simple service... I took my car in to a poniac service station today and when they called me back i heard some kind of hammer banging on the engine and them listing broken parts....
How many backrubs could i get for $530

you find great photos yo. sorry to hear about the car, hang in there - cars will FOREVER be money drainers. there's no way around it. And. Now. Smile. ;)
Wasn't it supposed to be just a check up? I know any time I've ever taken any of my cars(pieces) to get a tune up or oil change it end up being a much bigger financial drain than I as expecting.
I've always said I don't know why we aren't given education in vehicle repaire and operation. They used to offer automobile mechanics in many of the education programs early on and inthe not to distant past.. The only extra circulum activities that were offered, and in many instances mandatory in my experiences were Wood class, homeecs, art and Metal shop. Even all of these useful in their own instances but I would of much more appreciated learning about general vehical maintenience and mechanicals. I think this would of een much more useful and more practical considering the rapid use for transportation methods and the necessity in some areas for personal transportation.
Oh yes, the hammering in the car repair shop background is always a confidence builder. Horses look better and better some days - but I suppose not so practical for the freeway system there. Good luck.
My 1980s Pontiac Bonneville reproducibly broke at the same places as everyone else's in the 1990s - including the passanger side door, among other sites. I think that assembly line station had some real problems in Detroit.
With my Mercedes the good news is things don't break very often (mine is now at 130,000 miles and about 20 years old, and I'm betting on getting another 100,000 miles; given the happily humming 1950 diesel models I rode in, in Kenya and India). The bad news is that when something does break, you get to buy a small cottage in the Alps for some German family.
