Spring Semester
Well as luck would turn out school starts for me on febuary 11, my birthday. Im having a bit of trouble concentrating, some days, also understanding material, so this semester I decided to take it a bit easy. I signed up for art (basic drawing), photography, and a class that is suppost to help me with studing skills. I decided to take the art class, becouse when I was trying to think of jobs I would like when I graduate I came up with graphic arts and web design like craig. The trouble is I'v never been much an art guy due to the fact that California's school system never provided me with much art classes. Hopefully they fixed the problem. However I did take an art class in highschool and really enjoyed it. Craig maybe you could provide me some information on more of what you do. Some questions I have are: Does the company tell you an idea of what they want graphically and if so how much of an idea? (You could give me an example of a job assignment or something if you could be so kind), now a days what programming are you required or should know about web programming? (what languages?) (what do you know?), and does it make since to learn Mac's if i learn about adobe on a Mac is it much different on a PC?
Love you guys
peace out,
steven

sounds like a good plan for next semester man. beware, art classes are not as easy as some may think... and photography often demands a lot of time. just an early fyi. ;) but it's definitely a good start if you think you may have some interest in the graphics industry.
swamped tonight, but i'll try to get a list of things for you to start checking out and see if it's really a path you'd like to consider.
stay up - craig.
Steve-o I think those classes look like good choices for your spring semester. I know this last one was difficult, but you had some pretty difficult classes. These all sound very diffrent which is good to do while in college so you can get a better idea of something that you may be intrested in afterwards. Bummer on the day but we'll of course celebrate ur B-Day in good fashion the following weekend.
Looking forward to hanging out this weekend at Brians. I'll be bringing Rock Band so get ready to ROCK!
Sounds like a good plan for this semester, i always wish i had taken more art/photography classes when i had the chance. I'll be interested in what you think of it. I've never really had a knack for drawing and have wondered if it can be taught or you simply need to have the talent to be good.
Really looking forward to seeing you this weekend .. be prepare for a beat down in Guitar Hero!
Hey steven, I think your plan sounds good. Drawing can be taught, so I hope you have a good teacher. Just keep in my you don't need to be an awesome drawer to be in an art field for a career. The drawing classes in college always intimidated me, it always seemed like some people were just born to draw. This is the time in life to really explore any interests you have so you will eventually be in a career that you love. I miss you, have a good time at Brian's I am jealouse that I don't get to hang out with you all.
Great that there are a variety of options to check into. It sounds like you're finding your way around the system well, and it's super that you can check out different interests. Enjoy.
