News:

Hi everyone,

News: I have dropped out of Santa Monica Community College, as related to the illness, I have having trouble learning in the regular classroom settings. However I researched online schools and am now enrolled at http://www.aionline.edu the Arts institute of Pittsburgh Online Division. I am currently enrolled in the BS Graphic Arts program. They plan your schudule every quearter and have a very nice program. I am really enjoying. Its a four year program and they program the class schuduling and enroll in your classes every semester that they want you to take so if you continue on the 4 year program your garanteed to graduate in four years. Then they help you finding a job how ever I have a few idea for my own ideas for work at the moment.

Everyone thank dad for supporting me becouse it was much more expensive than SMC. Thanks Dad.

Love steven

I think this is great Steve-o. I'm proud of your dedication and determination. The online education model does sound like a better fit for you. I know things have already gotten started, have you been enjoying it? We talked a lot about it already but if you ever need help with any of the group posting forums gimmie a call. I had a couple of classes that were structured in the same manner. Look forward to seeing you when I get back from Madison.

This sounds like a nice opportunity, Steven. You and your docs know better than I what is most likely to work out best, but the system you describe sounds like a creative approach that could conceivably offer some helpful flexibility and fine tuning to what fits your style.

Fortunately, there are a variety of paths people one can chose from in terms of training and pursuit of work that is a good fit. It's an ongoing process for all of us - I'm looking at some job changes, too, (less lab, more clinic - including new roles in the ER and ICU settings, etc.). Sometimes, one only knows what'll work for the best after trying it out.

Regardless what works best for each of us, it's nice to stay in touch. Thanks for being so kind to Claire and Riley on their recent visit there. They really enjoyed it.

I know how hard public school got for you in Milwaukee, and can only imagine what the hurdles might be from your point of view. Good for you for trying another path and seeing where it leads. Stay up on your studies/work - I know a self-set schedule can seem perfect till you reach deadlines! Good luck man, can't wait to hear more about it.

This sounds like a good idea/fit. How's it going now that you have a few weeks under your belt? Are you finding it works better for you? .. good luck, looking forward to seeing you soon.
