I like cruzing the blogs at school and looking at the different designs... i like to look at the best for inspiration and I like looking at the less than great for a great laugh check these examples of the same assignment by different students:

Example 3 (My Design... I finished mine a little fast and guess didn't put as much effort as some but it was just an exercise got some good feed back from my teacher but really this blog is just for comparision between the first and second examples)

Interesting pics, Steven. I had trouble seeing the 2nd and 3rd until I looked sideways at my computer screen. Either example #2 is a funky architectural style (e.g. the Strata Center (?) at MIT) or there are some confusing lines going on. Either way, I'd have a rough time building it. Yours looks nice. Perspective drawing can be a beautiful thing, eh?

I think it would be hard to be an art teacher since I think a large part of drawing is based on talent vs effort.

I gave it a shot .. what do you think? talented? (click here)

Great Pic Brian

It's crazy how much perspective work can seem tiresome and pointless, yet it comes in to play so much more than imagined. Nice man.

Completely unrelated, 'Must taste Chimney' is beyond bizarre and yet fantastic.

Adam McKinney:

Geez talk about spectrum of diffrence. Huh, the first one looks as if it was done by some amazing architect. The second one prob. wouldn't look so bad if it wasn't for the over acheveing 1st student's work. It is really cool to see the diffrences. That's cool that they blog about all of them so you know where you stand with the majority.

I am going to show these to my students. We do 2 point perspective drawings. Steven yours looks pretty good. Perspective always confused me until I had to teach it. Brian my students will now know wierdness runs in the family. Thanks!

What's new in this class, Steven?

Brian...is that web copied talent?

Guess who is to say what is talent....went to the LA Art museum and heard someone asking the same question....then said my grandchild could have done that!:)

Perspective however is somewhat art and somewhat science so an Engineer ought to appreciate it
