LOL .. oddly these images all in some way remind me of Adam.

A: Come on man, you really need to post a blog with a real photo of you and your new glasses. If you don't .. we just may assume the worst!

Ok pretty funny. I tried many pairs that were similar to these but none would take. I actually decided to go with Prada designer frames. Prada which I didn't know actually has a really good selection of fashionable glass wear. They look pretty spiffy if I must say so. Here's a link these may not be the exact pair but if not they're almost identical.

They sold me on all kinds of additional stuff. My insurance covered transitional which was cool I've always wanted a pair that has that function. Also, one of the things that I had never seen even though they told me it wasn't anything new is anti reflecting coat that they apply to lens. They can put a coating on it which makes it so there will be no reflection seen from the outside of the frames which I thought was pretty cool. Now I wont stick out while on the lot, and in L.A. with all these trendy entertainment types.

a: Those Prada glasses do look pretty cool. Take a photo of yourself and post it! Call me if you want me to talk you through posting pics.

I've never tried the transitional lenses but I've always wanted to. I had friends in Iowa who had them and said they weren't the best going from cold to warm (brisk January) - but this was a few years ago.

For all of us with glasses, I found this Zenni Optical online that does cheap eye wear. I have not personally ordered any yet - as I found them right after I got my new pair - but a friend in Milwaukee did order a pair of prescription sunglasses and says they turned out great. The trick is knowing your prescript and size but you could end up saving a bundle.

I'm also a big fan of Eyeglass World in Des Moines. They usually have a nice selection of frames and more often then not you get two pairs of glasses for the price of one. The last time we went, they didn't mind doing the free pair with a different prescription for Grace either. Sadly, the closest store out east is in Pennsylvania.
