Interesting concept..buying from Vons on line and delivery as well. I hate going to the grocery store as you know so Gerry always is the shopper. Is it more expensive with all that service?

b: the fee is about $10 dollars between $9 and $12 depending on what time you choose and what not.

One of my favorite technologies is on-line recipies.
Rachael Ray has some good ones; and she has a section that features economical recipies (which still taste great). I think she got her start with an economical travel/eating show - she finds some great things.

If you go to the library there may also be one of my all time favorite magazines: Cooks Illustrated. They have excellent directions (illustrated very well - hence the name I suppose?). They also explain what things you really need to pay attention to as you cook (vs. what you can play around with). I haven't fared poorly yet - with their help.

Something I've wondered about trying is a Seal-a-meal: so one can save stuff in the freezer for later use after making a batch. If people have good resources for that (the machine, the recipies, etc.) I'd be interested.
